Based on a composite of existing examples.  This style of rondel was popular in the Burgundian lands in the late 15thC and is about ostentation as much as fighting.  They were built stout and strong to give a secure grip and deliver fierce blow from its single edged blade with asymmetric reinforced tip.

The grip is constructed of from horn plates with brass inserts and diamond pattern box wood grip.   

Sits in a single layer, tan moulded, vegtan leather sheath with incised and carved decoration and finished with a bronze chape.
